Nico Rosberg is keen to put the weekend events in China to the back of his mind when he takes part in the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday.

Rosberg claimed after finishing second in Shanghai that his Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton had backed him into Sebastian Vettel during the race.

The post-race spat took the gloss off another dominant display by Mercedes who enjoyed another one-two after the disappointment in Malaysia when Vettel had secured a shock win.

Mercedes management have since ruled that Hamilton was not to blame for the incident and Rosberg accepts that he will have to move on.

"It was definitely intense after the race, but we had a sit down, a good discussion and there was a lot of constructive criticism," Rosberg said. "Now for everybody it's a thing of the past and we are moving on to Bahrain.

"Without a doubt the worst part of the weekend was losing out to Lewis in qualifying. That compromised me most and it was 0.04s. It's all down to me to be those 0.05s quicker next time."
