Andre Schurrle has scoffed at reports suggesting he is keen to leave Stamford Bridge in January and insists his long-term future is at Chelsea.

The Germany international has struggled with a mystery illness recently but returned to Jose Mourinho's side for the 3-1 Champions League victory against Spirting Lisbon on Wednesday, scoring the second goal against the Portuguese outfit.

Schurrle has often been used as an impact substitute by Mourinho following his £18million transfer from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2013.

He has started just 19 Premier League matches following that switch but has made 21 appearances from the substitutes' bench and has managed to find the net ten times.

There had been speculation suggesting Chelsea were looking to let Schurrle join Borussia Dortmund next month as part of a swap deal that wold involve Marco Reus moving to Stamford Bridge.

However, the 24-year-old Schurrle insisted: "Of course I can just laugh all the talk of leaving off. I am not going to change the club in the transfer window.

"I am happy where I am, I am happy in London. I love the city, I love the fans. We have a great team and want to win something this season. This is where I belong and where I want to help. I know what the manager wants from me and that he likes me."

Chelsea finished top of Group G, reaching the last-16 after securing an impressive 14 points. They could face Paris St Germain, Juventus, Schalke, Shakhtar Donetsk or Bayer Leverkusen in Monday's draw.
