Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has heaped praise on 'big-match player' Sergio Aguero ahead of a Champions League trip to CSKA Moscow.

Argentina forward Aguero scored all four goals as City trounced Spurs 4-1 at the weekend, with England goalkeeper Hart expecting much more from a player who already has ten goals in all competitions this season.

He said ahead of a trip to Russia for a game which will be played behind closed doors: "He is one of those players - and I don't think he will be unhappy with me saying it - that some days you look at him in training and he is useless.

"That is just down to him and you know that when it comes to games he is going to score, because he is that talented, that good a player.

"He is a big-match player and deserves to be at a big club like this and I can't be positive enough about him. He deserves all the plaudits he gets. Finishing-wise he is one of the best."

Aguero can be backed at 10/3 to open the scoring against CSKA and is 10/11 to score at any time, while he is available at 11/8 to be leading goalscorer in the Premier League this season.

City will hope that Aguero is fit and firing in Moscow, having earned just one point from their opening two games in Champions League Group E - losing 1-0 at Bayern Munich before drawing 1-1 at home to Roma.

However, CSKA head coach Leonid Slutsky still believes that the Citizens are among the favourites to be crowned champions of Europe, as he told reporters: "Manchester City were and currently are clear favourites, not only of our group, but the Champions League in general.

"The fact that they haven't won any group matches so far means nothing."
