Chelsea will face Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League, while reigning champions Bayern Munich take on Real Madrid.

The Blues, 5.50 to win the competition, will have home advantage in the second leg of their tie, while Bayern, 2.50 to retain their title, will play host to Real in the second leg of their semi-final.

And ahead of the draw UEFA had insisted that Chelsea could not prevent loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from playing for Atletico if the two sides were paired to meet in the last four.

Chelsea and Atletico previously met in the Champions League group stage in 2009/10, with the Blues earning a 2-2 draw in the Vicente Calderon two weeks after a thumping 4-0 victory over the Spaniards at Stamford Bridge.

More recently Atleti swept to a 4-1 European Super Cup victory over Chelsea in August 2012, with Colombian striker Radamel Falcao netting a hat-trick.

Meanwhile, Real, 3.75 to win a record tenth European Cup, will be looking for revenge over Bayern, as the last time these two sides met in the Champions League the Germans won a penalty shootout in the 2011/12 semi-finals.

After the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate, Bayern won the shootout 3-1, before going on to lose to Chelsea on penalties in a final which was staged in their own Allianz Arena.

Semi-final draw:
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
Atletico Madrid v Chelsea

Ties to be played 22nd/23rd April and 29th/30th April.

The Europa League semi-finals have produced an all-Spanish tie between Valencia and Sevilla, while Portuguese giants Benfica take on Italian champions Juventus in the other last-four clash.

The first legs will be played on 24th April, with the second legs scheduled for 1st May.

Semi-final draw:
Sevilla v Valencia
Benfica v Juventus
