Juan Martin Del Potro has promised that he will do his best in his first Wimbledon semi-final on Friday when he takes on the world number one Novak Djokovic.

The Argentinian appeared to be heading out of the tournament on Wednesday when he suffered a nasty fall in the opening stages of his quarter-final against David Ferrer.

However, he regrouped and, after a long medical time-out, recovered to beat the Spaniard 6-2 6-4 7-6.

Despite the fall, Del Potro insists his knee is fine and he is looking forward to playing Djokovic who he beat at last year's Olympics as he claimed the bronze medal.

Del Potro can be backed at 15.00 to win the semi-final in five sets while Djokovic is available at 1.83 to reach the final after sealing victory in straight sets.

The 2009 US Open champion said of his game against the Serb: "I will need to be 100% or 110% against him.

"He's the No. 1. He's a former champion here. It's going to be another difficult match for me. But if I'm okay, if I do everything good to be ready for my next match, it will be exciting to play against him. I remember the match during the Olympic last year on the same surface.

"I will try to be ready and do my best."
