Defending champion and world number one Novak Djokovic booked his place in the fourth round of the Australian Open, before admitting that he can play much better.

Djokovic safely saw off Radek Stepanek in round three by a 6-4 6-3 7-5 scoreline, before telling reporters that there is more to come from him as his tournament progresses.

"I have played well in the first few rounds, slowly getting into my rhythm," Djokovic said. "I can play better, but I cannot be dissatisfied with my performances."

Djokovic is the two-time defending champion in Melbourne, having beaten Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray in the last two finals, and he is 1.83 to complete a hat-trick of titles.

Meanwhile, the last Australian man left in the draw, Bernard Tomic, has fired a warning to Roger Federer ahead of their third-round showdown, having won every match he has played so far this year.

Tomic, who is 7.00 to beat Federer, said: "This is the perfect time to play him. I think I've got a good attitude to win - I think I can do it.

"I'm not going to say I don't have the belief, I do have the belief now. It's possible."

Federer, who is a four-time Australian Open winner, is 1.10 to defeat Tomic and 8.00 to do so in a five-set match.
