Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called on his side to regain their confidence and attacking intent when they take in Schalke on the Veltins Arena.

The Gunners were beaten 2-0 by their German rivals in the Emirates Stadium two weeks ago, while last time out they suffered a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Manchester United, with Wenger admitting that confidence had suffered a blow.

"Our game is about creating chances, about going forward, about having an offensive drive," Wenger said.

"What is most important is that we play again with our enthusiasm, desire to create chances and enjoy our game, more than about 'do we concede a goal or not'. Lately maybe we have been a little bit flat."

Arsenal, who will be without Wojciech Szczesny, Kieran Gibbs, Abou Diaby, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are 4.50 to win in Gelsenkirchen and 4.00 to secure a draw.

Meanwhile, Schalke coach Huub Stevens hopes to see striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar maintain his scoring streak in Europe, with the Dutchman having found the net in each of the three group games to date.

That is in contrast to just one goal in his last eight Bundesliga outings, with Stevens admitting: "I have no idea why Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is scoring in the Champions League on a regular basis and not in the Bundesliga."
