Willie Mullins' So Young continued on his upward curve ahead of the Cheltenham Festival at Navan yesterday and his trainer now has to decide where to send his six-year-old next.

Cheltenham is very much on his agenda but the trainer still has to make up his mind which is his best option between the Champion Hurdle and the World Hurdle.

Given that he has last year's champion Hurricane Fly, were he to be allowed to take his chance, So Young, would have each way chances in what - with the exception of the favourite - begins to look a slightly sub-standard field.

However, it's more lilely we will see him taking on the likes of Big Bucks and Oscar Whisky in the major event of Day Three for which, incidentally, stablemate Thousand Stars is entered.

So Young is 17.00 to win the World Hurdle while Big Bucks can be backed at 1.50, Oscar Whisky at 6.00 and Thousand Stars at 9.00.

In yesterday's event at Navan, Ruby Walsh gave the horse a near perfect ride from the start to run out a seven lengths winner of the four horse field.

Said Mullins: "Ruby was not afraid to make the pace and he did it well from the front. He jumped well and is a horse with lots of stamina - his best trip is way beyond that.

"The Boyne Hurdle here next month is a possibility. He will be entered in the Champion Hurdle and the World Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. In a fast-run two-mile race he would be competitive, but I have no doubt his future lies over two mile plus."
