St Helens will aim to record their second victory over Wigan in a month when the two sides meet in the qualifying semi-final at the Stobart Stadium this Saturday.

League leaders Warrington selected Leeds as their opponents, meaning that Saints were paired up with the Warriors.

Saints' victory over Wigan two weeks ago earned them the weekend off, while Michael Maguire's men were forced to play Catalans Dragons and attempt to keep their season alive, but head coach Royce Simmons did his best to ensure that no momentum was lost.

"We had a hit-out against our Academy lads on Saturday morning, which went well, and we're feeling good. The weekend of was much needed, but we're looking forward to the excitement of another match," said Simmons, who is in his first season as head coach at the club.

"Any side left in the competition now is capable of winning the trophy. Everyone is two wins away from winning the Grand Final. It'll be another close one against Wigan I think, and we're hoping to have a big crowd behind us again."

Wigan romped to a 46-0 victory over Catalans Dragons on Sunday to seal their spot in the last four. In doing so they avenged two league defeats to the French outfit and Simmons was full of praise for their performance.

"They're defence against Catalans was outstanding. They got a lot of heads into the tackle and were very aggressive. To keep a great attacking side like the Dragons to zero is testament to the effort they put in."

Saints are 2.10 to win Saturday's game at the Stobart Stadium in Widnes, with the Warriors 1.72 to triumph and 3.75 to go on and win the Grand Final.
